Join the Iowa City community for a Day of Service in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 20, 2020! Beloved Community Initiative will have a table with books to give away and to read, plus information about our 2020 Ethnic Studies Leadership Academy!

Iowa City's Day of Service will include service projects from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at various locations. After serving, volunteers will enjoy a celebratory program at the Mercer Park Gym, including entertainment performances, a keynote speaker, and free lunch! The event will conclude by 2:00 PM. Parking is available on site. Individuals of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend.
