Decolonize the Classroom

Cinnamon Kills First shares the important and intense history of colonization and school systems in relation to Native people. The harmful impacts of assimilation boarding schools are still felt in Indigenous communities today, while mainstream America remains largely uneducated or under-educated about it. This presentation brings this history into real-time and provides an eye-opening experience for educators! Cinnamon will close offering pathways for change to individuals, parents, teachers, classrooms, and schools. Join us to learn what "hard stops" and "quick changes" you can make to help decolonize your classroom.

NOTE: there are TWO sessions—the presentation on November 14th at 10:00am will be a webinar and participants will be invited to a Q&A and discussion by Zoom on November 22 from 4:00-5:00pm with Cinnamon Kills First. Registration is free and required.
