A summit addressing the needs and potential of women and girls of color. Sankofa has a connected mission to their sister pilot project in Savannah which is:

"To bring together university and community partners to facilitate collaborations across sectors to center the needs of women and girls of color in Johnson County. To promote action that will inform policy and programs that address the barriers that exist for women and girls of color in the areas of education, criminal justice, health, and employment."

Friday's connection event Relax and Relate is for women of color only, and will include yoga, chair massage, and natural hair information.

Saturday's summit is open to the general public. Anyone interested in supporting women and girls of color is welcome!
